Well that escalated quickly, as only days ago the mainstream media was criticizing President Trump’s statement that millions of illegal immigrants/noncitizens had cast their votes for Hillary Clinton in last year’s election, but now it appears the reporters are the ones proven wrong (again) at the hands of Trump.
Since the election where Donald Trump’s victory had proved almost every mainstream media anchor, pundit and expert wrong in their predictions, the liberal press has been grasping at any small victory they can possibly take out of what was a crushing rebuke from the American voters of them and their biased reporting. That grasp for victory turned into the non-stop parroting of, “But Trump didn’t win the popular vote”, which for the past months the media has never missed a chance to slip that statement into whatever slanted story they’re doing about the president.
Now, only days after the media fury claiming that there was “no voter fraud” of any significant level that could have impacted the popular vote turnout, a study has been released asserting that Hillary Clinton did in fact benefit from 800,000 noncitizen votes that should never have been cast.
Hillary Clinton garnered more than 800,000 votes from noncitizens on Nov. 8, an approximation far short of President Trump’s estimate of up to 5 million illegal voters but supportive of his charges of fraud.
Political scientist Jesse Richman of Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia, has worked with colleagues to produce groundbreaking research on noncitizen voting, and this week he posted a blog in response to Mr. Trump’s assertion.
Based on national polling by a consortium of universities, a report by Mr. Richman said 6.4 percent of the estimated 20 million adult noncitizens in the U.S. voted in November. He extrapolated that that percentage would have added 834,381 net votes for Mrs. Clinton, who received about 2.8 million more votes than Mr. Trump.
Mr. Richman calculated that Mrs. Clinton would have collected 81 percent of noncitizen votes.
“Is it plausible that non-citizen votes added to Clinton’s margin? Yes,” Mr. Richman wrote. “Is it plausible that non-citizen votes account for the entire nation-wide popular vote margin held by Clinton? Not at all.”
Still, the finding is significant because it means noncitizens may have helped Mrs. Clinton carry a state or finish better than she otherwise would have.
I can’t help but see similarities to the media’s claims about voter fraud to their claims about Trump during the election. First, they claimed he wouldn’t run, then he would never take the election seriously, he would never win a state in the primaries and finally he would never be elected as president. Every one of those statements were wrong by the mainstream media.
Similarly, first the media states there is no voter fraud, then it’s maybe just a “few isolated cases”, nothing to be concerned about, and now a study finds 800,000 invalid votes for Hillary Clinton. Still, the media is using this number to try and disprove Trump’s statement about millions of illegal votes being cast for her by claiming, “It’s not the millions that he claimed and still doesn’t change the outcome of Clinton winning the popular vote”.
Given the progression of the media’s errors during the election, it seems it will be only a matter of time until they are proven wrong once again, as President Trump has stated he is commissioning a full investigation of illegal immigrant and invalid votes cast during the election.
Any amount of voter fraud should be investigated to the fullest extent, as it undermines the very democratic principles that our nation was founded on and disintegrates the collective will of the people. The media has once again been outmaneuvered by a man they just cannot understand by those who spent their careers parroting liberal narratives. Some have suggested that voter fraud amounts to treason, as it attempts to subvert the very foundations of our government.
I predict this entire voter fraud investigation and everything that follows will be used to set up future voter I.D. laws. Laws that the democrats have long fought, claiming they would “disenfranchise” minority and underprivileged voters. Something tells me once the true voter fraud amounts are revealed, not even the massive liberal media machine will be able to sway enough public opinion of voter I.D. laws to prevent them from becoming a reality under President Trump.
