The liberal media pundits are once again showing just how peaceful and tolerant they are, as a news anchor for MSNBC praised the attack on Republican Senator Rand Paul by his liberal neighbor, exclaiming on live television that this assault is “one of my favorite stories”.
Only weeks ago Rand Paul suffered six broken ribs after his neighbor, Rene Boucher, tackled him to the ground while Paul was mowing his lawn. Although mainstream media outlets as well as the attacker himself were quick to brand the incident as a “landscaping dispute”, local citizens tell a different story, explaining that Boucher is a vocal liberal socialist holding strong political views that amount to the exact opposite of Rand Paul’s.
The man responsible for attacking Sen. Rand Paul Friday afternoon was an avowed liberal who frequently fought with his neighbors about politics, according to a report Sunday from The Washington Post.
Local citizens say Rene Boucher, the 59-year-old man who assaulted Paul, was a socialist who frequently fought with neighbors about health care policies and other liberal issues. Boucher and Paul, a Republican from Kentucky, are on the opposite end of the political spectrum, they told reporters.
Jeff Jones, a registered nurse who worked with Boucher at the Bowling Green Medical Center, described Paul’s attacker’s politics as “liberal.”
“He was active on social media and said some negative things about the Republican agenda,” Jones said of Boucher, a Bowling Green, Ky., citizen who lives in the same gated community as Paul. “I think it was unfortunate that they lived so close together.”
Boucher is a divorced socialist who is “pretty much the opposite of Rand Paul in every way,” Jim Bullington, a former member of the city commission who knows both men well, told reporters Sunday.
Senator Paul’s injuries were more severe than initially reported, as he suffered 6 broken ribs and bruises to his lungs.
Yesterday, Kasie Holmes was broadcasting on MSNBC when she delivered an update on Rand Paul’s condition. However, it appears Holmes couldn’t hold back her glee at a conservative lawmaker suffering seriously bodily injury at the hands of a far-left socialist, as she opened up her broadcast with the following statement:
“New details today on the incident that left Senator Rand Paul with six broken ribs, this might be one of my favorite stories,” Holmes said.
Immediately after Holmes states this was “one of her favorite stories” it appears she meant to correct herself, yet decided to simply continue reporting the story.
After receiving backlash for her perceived pleasure at reporting on a story involving an injured conservative, Katie Holmes issued an apology in the form of a tweet, stating that she hopes Paul’s recovery is on “the right track”.

Considering a person’s initial reaction to any situation is typically the most honest, I can’t help but wonder if Holmes truly wishes the best for Paul and conservative lawmakers, and perhaps her definition of what is the “right track” for Rand Paul’s recovery isn’t exactly what the average person’s thoughts would be in this situation.
However, this is simply the latest in a long string of hateful expressions on the part of liberal media pundits, as since Donald Trump has entered into politics there has been no shortage of hate, rage and violence percolating from the left.
