Army officials have issued a statement condemning the actions of Second Lt. Spenser Rapone, after he posted pictures of himself giving a communist salute while displaying “communism will win” written on the underside of his officer’s cap in black ink.
Spenser Rapone sent out the following tweet over the weekend showing himself in his military dress attire, holding his fist in the air and displaying a message of support for communism.

Just in case there was any “lingering doubt”, as Rapone puts it in the following tweet, of his intentions he then tweets a picture of himself opening up his dress jacket to reveal himself wearing a t-shirt featuring the face of brutal communist guerrilla leader Che Guevara.

After widespread outrage on social media, users passed Rapone’s tweets along to military officials and even tweeted President Trump to let him know about the “open communists in the ranks”.

Second Lt. Spenser Rapone graduated from the famous officer academy West Point, prompting Army officials to issue a statement condemning his actions.
“The U.S. Military Academy strives to develop leaders who internalize the academy’s motto of Duty, Honor, Country, and who live the Army values. Second Lieutenant Rapone’s actions in no way reflect the values of the U.S. Military Academy or the U.S. Army.”
“As figures of public trust, members of the military must exhibit exemplary conduct, and are prohibited from engaging in certain expressions of political speech in uniform. Second Lieutenant Rapone’s chain of command is aware of his actions and is looking into the matter. The academy is prepared to assist the officer’s chain of command as required.”
Not only does Rapone admire communism, however, but he also hates capitalism to the point he posted a picture on what appears to be his Instagram account showing a card with the message “Kill Every Last Communist Dog”.
Rapone received support from the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA), which he is also a member of, as the organization released a statement regarding his communist display in the military.
“Spenser Rapone is our comrade and we fully support, defend, and encourage him to take whatever steps he sees necessary to express his political beliefs and continue to organize towards a socialist future,” the group said.
The military has yet to release any disciplinary actions they have taken regarding Rapone’s disgusting display of disrespect for his uniform, the US military and America itself, but we can only hope that this hardcore communist will not be leading patriotic young soldiers into battle. If America ends up going to war with a communist country, such as North Korea, Rapone appears just as likely to sabotage his own troops than he would the enemy’s.
