The “peaceful” anti-Trump protests continue as the media and pundits fan the flames of fear, while refusing to acknowledge the very real threats and assaults against Trump’s supporters.
Since Donald Trump’s victory over Hillary Clinton last week, protesters have taken to the streets in a display of anger and frustration against the democratically chosen president-elect. Although the media has tried to spin these protests as largely “peaceful”, there have been multiple instances of violence (one man getting shot), vandalism and the blocking of traffic (even an exit to a local hospital).
Trump voters have also been targeted across the country, with 2 men getting arrested in Connecticut last week for beating a perceived Trump supporter senseless.
Now, the local news in Maryland reported that a 15-year-old boy was beaten during an anti-Trump protest in Rockville. The boy was apparently wearing an iconic “Make America Great Again” Trump hat and was in the vicinity of students who left school to march in protest of Donald Trump’s election.
WASHINGTON — A student is facing assault charges after a student protest of the election of Donald Trump to the presidency turned violent Wednesday.
Hundreds of students from Richard Montgomery High School were carrying signs reading, “Love Trumps Hate,” and chanting near the Rockville courthouse on Maryland Avenue in a protest that began at about 10 a.m. when a 15-year-old boy wearing one of the Trump campaign’s “Make America Great Again” hats was attacked by about four students.
The group surrounded the teen, punching him repeatedly, then threw him to the ground and kicked him repeatedly in the ribs. It is not yet clear what led up to the incident, but Maj. Michael English with Rockville police said the victim was not the aggressor.
“They jumped him and beat him up pretty bad,” Max Stucky, a bystander who witnessed the attack, told WTOP.
The teen, who wasn’t seriously hurt, was seen clutching the back of his head in pain. He was helped to his feet by medics and taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
So far, police have identified one student, a 17-year-old, involved in the beating and filed charges of second-degree assault, English said. The student is not in custody,
Police officers are talking with witnesses.
There was a large police presence during the protest, but there were no further problems. The students returned to the school’s football field at about 11:30 a.m.
So this 15-year-old boy just happen to be showing his support of our democratically elected president, when 4 other boys pushed him to the ground, punched him, kicked him and “beat him up pretty bad”, resulting in an ambulance ride to the hospital.
It’s ironic that the anti-Trump protesters are holding signs that say “Love Trumps Hate” and “Stronger Together”, when they obviously are only referring to people who share their hatred for our president-elect. I guess love doesn’t trump hate when it is directed towards voters who wanted to make America great again and supported Donald Trump. Also, they must mean that they are only “stronger together” when they are around fellow Hillary Clinton supporters.
This is by far not the only incident of people being attacked for supporting Trump, or even appearing to support him, as only days ago a teenage girl was brutally beaten in California for supporting Trump on social media.
A teenage girl in California was brutally beaten — allegedly because she supported Donald Trump — in an attack caught on cell phone video, police said Monday.
Jade Armenio, a sophomore at Woodside High School, 30 miles south of San Francisco, was thrown to the ground, punched and kicked by another girl Wednesday in disturbing footage that’s gone viral.
The attacking student has been suspended and the scary beatdown is being investigated by off-campus cops. No one has been arrested yet.
“We have an open dialogue with the parents (of the students) involved (in the beating) and the school,” San Mateo County Sheriff’s Detective Sal Zuno said Monday. “There might be all sorts of motives (involved in the attack).”
The girl, whose family supports Trump, was allegedly targeted because she responded to a social media thread that started with a post supporting the president-elect.
The very hate, fear and violence that Clinton supporters are claiming to be fighting against are the same tactics they are using against anyone who disagrees with them. Although the media is claiming immigrants, minorities and homosexuals are now living in constant “fear” since Trump’s victory, it appears that his voters should be the ones on their guard in the presence of “tolerant” liberals.
If you need a lesson in tolerance, don’t worry, a “friendly” liberal will beat the tolerance into you.
Don’t expect the media to focus too heavily on assaults against Trump voters, however, as they are more likely to only push more stories inciting fear and irrational behaviors by these protesters. The media should realize, when they are constantly claiming that a presidential candidate is “literally Hitler”, it’s going to cause a panic among certain people if that candidate gets elected, which is exactly what is happening now.
