As the mainstream media struggles between supporting a president defending America’s national security and the dictator of North Korea who has wrecked havoc on his country’s citizens, Trump is showing no signs of backing down in the face of Kim Jong Un’s increasingly volatile threats.
President Trump announcing earlier this week that North Korea will face “fire and fury” if Kim Jong Un continues threatening the United States with war, which predictably triggered a panic within the mainstream media as pundits claimed Trump’s strong language is only antagonizing the North Korean dictator and exasperating an already tense situation.
On Tuesday, Trump strongly warned Pyongyang against threatening the United States in a reportedly improvised line.
“North Korea best not make any more threats to the United States,” Trump told reporters, speaking slowly and deliberately with his arms crossed in front of him. “They will be met with fire and fury like the world has never seen. He has been very threatening … and as I said they will be met with fire, fury and frankly power, the likes of which this world has never seen before.”
Yesterday, President Trump told the press from his New Jersey golf club that maybe his “fire and fury” statement didn’t go far enough. “If anything, maybe that statement wasn’t tough enough,” Trump told reporters.
Today, Trump followed up on his strong stance against North Korea’s provocations by sending out a tweet informing the nation that “military solutions are now fully in place, locked and loaded, should North Korea act unwisely.”

As expected, hearing an American president project strength, confidence and fearlessness in the face of a foreign threat was too much for mainstream journalists to handle. CNN reported that Trump has made the news three times with his “over-the-top rhetoric” towards North Korea, using “purposefully provocative language to antagonize” Kim Jong Un. CNN’s article proceeds to list a series of Trump quotes that he made during the election last year which they considered to be “antagonizing” including his famous “Lyin’ Ted” and “Little Marco” brandings, all in an attempt to brand the president as a loose cannon.
The Huffington Post dug up a so-called “foreign policy expert” in their report on Trump’s statement, who predictably reacted in the most extreme manner possible to strong rhetoric.
Foreign policy experts have criticized the president’s language as “reckless” and “dangerous.”
“That is about the stupidest and most dangerous statement I have ever heard an American president make,” John Mecklin, editor-in-chief of Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists, told HuffPost following Trump’s “fire and fury” remark.
“It increases the likelihood of nuclear war,” Mecklin added. “And those kind of threats are just not something an American president should make.”
Perhaps this “foreign policy expert” should try opening a dialog with North Korea by traveling to their country and urging Kim Jong Un to stop launching missiles and threatening surrounding nations with nuclear fire, rather than jumping to the most extreme conclusions regarding President Trump’s strong stance on national security.
Oddly enough, CNN was silent on criticizing the brutal regime in North Korea for provocative language, as just yesterday their state media issued a statement saying they “mercilessly wipe out the provocateurs” and America would suffer “a shameful defeat”.

These inflammatory statements, or what some may call “fighting words”, are only the latest in a long line of threats from Kim Jong Un and his hermit kingdom. Of course, leave it to the media to blame Trump for an unstable dictator’s words and actions, as leftist reporters are shocked at hearing the leader of the free world use strong, forceful language to warn a foreign nation threatening harm on the American people.
After 8 year under the Obama administration and “red lines” being crossed constantly by hostile foreign nations without any consequences, it shouldn’t be surprising that progressive media pundits cannot wrap their heads around what a strong leader would say and do in the face of a serious national security threat.
By the way the media is reporting on Trump taking a strong stand in defense of America, you would almost think they’re on the side of Kim Jong Un and his government, which has for decades abused their people to the point of starvation, with many citizens forced to eat grass, dirt and bugs to survive.
