Turn on any cable news station, browse any major media website or read your Facebook feed and you’ll most likely see the words “Trump” and “Russia”, usually in the same sentence. After a long fought election, where the mainstream media absolutely savaged Donald Trump and his movement, the American people thought the political atmosphere would simmer down somewhat. However, starting only days after the election, the Democrats and their media allies launched a new assault on President Trump along with everyone who supports him, essentially seeking to undo the votes of millions of Americans who did not side with their brand of politics.
Every so often it’s beneficial to take a step back from frantic political commentary, talks of “Russian collusion” and the steady stream of fake news spewed from the mouths of media pundits. Reading of the constant treachery and betrayals taking place within America’s government, which is almost always occurring against President Trump or his agenda, can leave anyone feeling frustrated. That frustration can seep into every aspect of our lives, which is why it’s important to take a step back and observe the small wonders that occur every day.
The following is a unique story of nature showing how even animal mothers have strong maternal instincts, and in this case it was strong enough to seek out a human police officer when one mother goose’s young was in danger.
James Givens, an officer with the Cincinnati Police Department with 26 years of service under his belt, was sitting in his patrol car in a parking lot one day when he got an unexpected visitor. A large goose came right up to the side of his patrol car and started to quack. As the officer looked on, he thought the goose might be hungry so he threw some food out his window for it, expecting it to go on its way afterwards.
The goose ignored the food, instead continuing to quack and even pecked at the officer’s car door trying to communicate. As the goose quacked, walked away and then kept returning to the Given’s car he figured out that she wanted him to follow her. That’s exactly what he did, and after following the goose for about 100 yards to a grassy area near a creek, he saw what the goose was so frantic to show him.
Officer Givens saw one of the goose’s babies tangled up in a balloon string, struggling to free himself, but unable to break away. Still, Givens was weary of getting attacked by the mother goose when handling the young chick, so he called the SPCA for assistance. No one was available to come to the scene from their organization, however, so he enlisted the help of his co-worker Officer Cecilia Charron.
Charron rescues the young chick as the mother patiently looked on, and she succeeded in untangling the string that it was caught in. Afterwards, the officer placed the chick on the ground and it ran quickly back to its relieved mother. The mother goose shuffled the chick back to her other children, which numbered 6 in total.
Both officers said it was the most unique experience in their careers. Charron teared up and said it was the highlight of her 24 years on the force.
It seems like something made up. It was just incredible,” Givens told The Dodo. “I honestly don’t know why I decided to follower her, but I did. It makes me wonder – do they know to turn to humans when they need help? We may never know the answer to this question, but what we do know is that Officer Givens was in the right place at the right time to help these geese!
While this story has nothing to do with politics, the deep state’s silent coup against a democratically elected president or the corrupt media seeking to destroy an agenda supported by tens of millions of voters, it’s important to take a moment to remember the wonders of nature that this world has to offer. Sometimes, it’s the simple acts of kindness that can remind Americans what they are fighting for, and it’s certainly a stark contrast from the vile forces seeking to corrupt our nation and destroy the “America First” agenda of President Donald Trump.
